Teen Beginning Ballroom
Mon - Thurs (8/10-8/13) | 9:00 am to 10:30 am | $55

Entering grades 6 to 12.

Just beginning in ballroom dance or have two years or less experience.

Each day we will focus on a different dance chosen from Latin or Ballroom styles, such as Cha Cha, Waltz, Jive, or Samba. We'll introduce partnering and learn the basics of ballroom technique.
Audition Prep
Mon - Thurs (8/10-8/13) | 9:00 am to 10:30 am | $55

For students who:

Are entering grades 6 to 12.

Are interested in auditioning for our Silver Performance Team for the 2026-27 season.

This workshop will help prepare students for the syllabus portion of auditions for our Youth Silver Performance Team. We will learn and practice Waltz & Cha Cha syllabus routines, and talk about technique & performance. Students should also plan to attend the free choreography session on Friday, August 14 from 10 am to 12 pm, to learn the choreography portion of auditions.
Kids Beginning Ballroom
Tues - Thurs (8/11-8/13) | 10:45 am to 11:45 pm | $30

Entering grades 2 to 5.

Just beginning in ballroom dance or have less than 2 years of experience.

Each day we will focus on a different dance chosen from Latin, Ballroom, or social dance styles, and learn the basics of ballroom technique while playing games & making new friends!
Latin Drills (registration coming soon!)
Mon - Thurs (8/10-8/13) | 10:45 am to 12:15 pm | $55

For students who:

Are entering grades 6 to 12.

Have completed at least one technique class at OBD (Intro to Ballroom or higher), or similar experience

This workshop will introduce drills and exercises that will help students improve their technical skills in International Latin and develop good at-home practice habits.
August 17 - 20
Team Experience!

Interested in joining a performance team and want to see what it's like, or new / continuing team members who plan to be on a 2026-27 team.

Any experience level, including beginners!

This workshop will show students what it’s like to be on a ballroom dance team, as we learn fun sections of show choreography chosen from a variety of Latin, ballroom, or social dance styles. Great preparation for those interested in joining one of our performance teams for the 2026-27 season!

Have completed at least ONE YEAR on an OBD Youth Performance Team (either Bronze or Silver)​

Are planning to continue on a 2026-27 team.

During this week, we will work hard to learn choreography & formations from both previous performance pieces and/or upcoming 2026-27 pieces for use at local performances in the Fall or Winter.
