Our team information night is a special evening for both prospective & current students plus a parent/guardian to come learn all about our youth performance teams for 2025-26! We'll talk about the different team options available, and what you can expect from team membership this coming year. Learn about team schedules & plans, performance opportunities, possible travel, and commitment & cost involved.

Dancers of ALL experience levels (including brand new beginners!) are invited to attend!

Following the meeting, those interested in joining or continuing on our Bronze Team (non-audition, rehearses once per week) can participate in a fun sample rehearsal to see what it's like. Those interested in auditioning for Silver Team (audition required, rehearses twice per week) will learn & practice a short piece of choreography to use at auditions later in the week.

Silver Team Auditions
Thursday, June 12 at 5-7 pm
South Bay Grange In Olympia

3918 Sleater Kinney Rd NE

All those interested in participating on our Silver Youth Performance Team in 2025-26 will need to attend auditions, including current team members. We will begin by reviewing the choreography taught at our Team Information Night on June 9. After some practice time, you will be called in small groups to dance the choreography piece for our panel of directors & guest judges. We will assign you in partnerships for your audition and may ask to observe you dancing with several different partners.

Dancers should dress in comfortable clothing appropriate for dance, such as fitted athletic pants or leggings, and a t-shirt or leotard. Ladies may wear a practice skirt with shorts or leggings underneath. Avoid jeans, crop tops (no exposed midriffs please), or baggy clothing. Appropriate footwear would be ballroom shoes, jazz shoes, or a pair of lightweight sneakers that will stay well-attached to your feet. Bring a water bottle!

You do not need to bring a partner (but you are welcome to!). Make sure you have registered for auditions by 12 pm on June 12 by using the link above!

In the event you are unavailable on either the team information night to learn choreography or the audition night, please email us at info@olympicballroomdance.com to discuss options. Although we cannot guarantee, there may be some ability to arrange an alternative audition day or time.
