Ballroom dance teams are a fantastic social experience for teens and strengthen character, build confidence, and improve social skills. Team members will have exciting local performance opportunities and participate in fun team-building activities.

Silver Team Auditions

All those interested in participating on our Silver Youth Performance Team in 2026-27 will need to attend auditions, including returning team members. Registration is required via our online enrollment system: create or login to your parent account, select "Register" from the menu, and enroll in "2026-27 Silver Team Auditions," found listed in our Youth Summer options. There is no cost to register for auditions.
Those auditioning will need to demonstrate a syllabus Waltz routine, a syllabus Cha Cha routine, and the choreography piece we will teach at our choreography session on Friday, August 14 at 10 am. Please make sure to attend this important part of the audition process so that you are prepared for your audition. If you need help with syllabus routines, we have an "Audition Prep" workshop held Aug 10 - 13 that you can sign up for!
On audition day, dancers can show up as early as 9 am to prepare and practice. Beginning at 10 am, you will be called in small groups to dance your syllabus routines and the choreography piece for our panel of directors & guest judges. You may dance with a partner of your choice, or we can assign you in partnerships for your audition. We may ask to observe you dancing with several different partners.
For the choreography session, dancers should dress in comfortable clothing appropriate for dance, such as fitted athletic pants or leggings, and a t-shirt or leotard. Ladies may wear a practice skirt with shorts or leggings underneath. Avoid jeans, crop tops (no exposed midriffs please), or baggy clothing.
For auditions, dancers should dress nicely in competition-style attire: leotards and practice skirts for girls, Latin pants (or slacks) and a button up shirt for boys.
Don't forget to bring appropriate footwear (ballroom shoes or jazz shoes) and a water bottle!
